I can’t believe that August is over! It was a great month for me that seemed to never stop! We had a huge family gathering where I finally got to meet my new nephew, I got to see Pat Benatar, and tonight I get to see Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper! This month also brought a new list of favorites that I can’t wait to share with you! So, let’s get right into it!
Stash
I had always been curious about investing and I am so glad that I happened across Stash! It’s an app that allows you to invest your money with companies and it also teaches you how to invest and guides you on what to invest. So far I’ve only invested $50 and I’ve made $3.14 from it. Of course, I have a referral link for it that will give you $5 to try it out! Check it out and invest some monies!
Paper Mate Markers
I love office supplies. I love highlighters, I love organization, and I love color coding. Recently I was chored with keeping a journal to help with my anxiety so I got to go to Target to get a nice journal and pens. I immediately gravitated towards Paper Mate Markers because they are super nice for writing and they come in a bunch of colors. I was so happy and even though I’ve kinda abandoned the whole journal writing thing, I still use them every day (or at least the ones I haven’t lost!)
Arcade Games
Husband and I have a weakness for arcade games. We spent our anniversary at Dave & Buster’s (and spent way too much money). We found out that we are an unstoppable force when it comes to claw machines and we loved it! We love coin pushers best and make it our life goal to get all the cards. More specifically, the Wizard of Oz coin pusher is our favorite.
Givling
Like most college students and graduates, I have student loans that I need to pay off. It’s not a tremendous amount, but the number scares me a little. I’m always looking for ways to help pay down my debt and Givling is an app that caters to my trivia love and can help pay down my student debt. Givling is a trivia program that pays their players’ student loans or home mortgages. So far they’ve helped 21 people pay their loans. If you want to sign up, use my code (if you want) AB446646!
Sweatpants
If I could wear sweatpants every day I would. I found a pair of sweatpants at JCPenney for like $3 on clearance. My only regret with them is that I didn’t go back and buy more because they are the comfiest things on Earth. They are so soft and comfortable and I never want to take them off.
Puppies
Not only did we get a new dog, Eevee, but my mom got a new puppy named Piper. She was 9 weeks when my mom got her and now she’s an 11-week old bundle of terror. Her favorite hobbies are pooping next to me so I step in it and biting ankles and toes. She loves playing with Eevee and because she’s a puppy, she’s still finding herself and it’s so funny to watch.
Cherry Blossom Smoothie
I love smoothies. When my mom goes to Black Rock Coffee in the morning I always get this one. I forgot what components make this smoothie “cherry blossom” but it is so delicious I can’t get enough of it. If you have a Black Rock Coffee near you, I highly suggest this. It’s sweet, but not too sweet and I seem to drink it way too fast.
Crocheting
My sister started knitting recently and I had been waiting for a reason to start crocheting because startup can be a little expensive. My therapist suggested that I take up crocheting because it could help with my anxiety so I bit the bullet and bought the stuff to make a blanket. Now I’m obsessed. I don’t want to stop crocheting, which is probably the reason why I am so behind on my blog.
Toon Blast
You know the commercial you always see when you’re playing your free games on your phone? Toon Blast is that commercial and Husband downloaded it and started playing it religiously. Me, being competitive AF, decided to download it without telling Husband so that I can pass him in the game. He found out (I told him) and I did pass him. Now I’m addicted which is taking up the rest of the time when I’m not crocheting.
Malamutes
When we got Eevee from the Humane Society, they told us she was a husky and she wasn’t going to get any bigger. I have had both malamutes and huskies and Eevee didn’t look like a husky. I took her to the vet who also mentioned that she didn’t look like a husky at all and was probably a malamute. That means that she isn’t done growing and can get up to 80 lbs. Either way, I love her dearly and she is goofy and sweet and I love her.
We have just got the best pack of dogs ever 🙂 Also, I love Papermate markers too!!! They are so satisfying to use!
