4th of July 2018

I can’t believe that the 4th of July has already come and left us!  It was an amazingly fun time filled with games, BBQ, and fireworks!  Festivities didn’t actually start until maybe 4:00pm, but we started our day with biscuits and gravy for breakfast (my favorite) and lunch was skipped (in anticipation of dinner).

I am the family’s resident dessert queen and I found this amazing looking dessert for our party.  It was so easy to put together and it saved me so much stress and time.  It was Angel Food Cake with Berries and the recipe can be found here.

We played badminton and did sparklers and poppers before it grew dark, but as soon as the sun started setting, we made our way to the corner where we always do fireworks.  Our neighbors were doing a 4th of July party so we combined fireworks and it made for quite the spectacle.

I know it’s a short post today, but I will fill the rest of this post with pictures from the day.  I was excited to try taking pictures with my S9+ at night with fireworks and they came out pretty well!  I hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July and I’ll talk to everyone on Monday!
