Snow Day Gone Wrong

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I’ve been dying for a snow day.  Well, yesterday we got it.  I was excited at the thought of how much stuff I was going to get done that day.  My to-do list consisted of things such as – do homework (I have 2 major projects due this week), write some blog posts, clean, bake some cookies for Cookie Day, and maybe even play in the snow.

Do you know what I managed to accomplish?

I baked so many cookies.  Probably too many, but that’s silly – you can never have too many cookies.

I took a nap.

I woke up from that nap and didn’t to get up.

I complained about how cold it is.

I played in the snow for 2 minutes before I realized that it was really really cold.

I tried to do some homework but I mean I really just opened up my homework and stared at it for a long time.

I played a lot of Facebook and mobile games.

I watched Husband play Skyrim.

I felt bad because I got nothing done today.

Does that ever happen to you?  Do you ever feel like you never get anything done when you have all the time to get it done?  I blame the weather.  This cold weather has me just wanting to sleep and cuddle in bed where it’s warm all day.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’re going to have a snow day today (that’d be a great Friday) so once again I’ll get to go back to complaining that I don’t have enough time in the day to get stuff done.

I feel like I need to get my priorities in line a little.

Sorry for the shorter post today.  I am trying to recover from my day of doing a lot of nothing.

Does this happen to you?  Do you find yourself lacking in energy when you finally have a day off?
