So, for all those aspiring writers such as me, you’ve probably heard of NaNoWriMo. For me, I’ve been registered on NaNoWriMo for two years now, participated twice, and have never won. With life, pre-Christmas events, pre-Thanksgiving events, work, parenting, cats, dogs, Netflix, and relationships, writing 50,000 words seems like a chore rather than a fun project equivalent to “No Shave November” (Honey, if you’re reading this, please don’t start this since you’re working from home now. Also, if I just planted the idea in your head because of this blog post, please ignore this.)
I have decided this year that I will complete NaNoWriMo. I have always wanted to participate and finish. My dream was to have a novel of mine published. I have started plenty of novels but have never been able to finish. Of course, a big part of NaNoWriMo is having a support group to help you when you feel like you can’t press on.
So, here I am. My arms are wide open for you. If you are participating in NaNoWriMo or even just writing, please comment in the comments below and leave your username for NaNoWriMo. My username is LagunaAlkaline. Please add me, let’s chat, bounce ideas past one another, and write together.
Good luck, writers.
